Eleonora's Falcon is not, of course, the commonest of Lycabettus' summer visitors, but can be seen flying above Athens in June and July, looking for insects, returning every evening to the rocky islets of the Aegean.
The Alpine Swift comes every April and stays till late October. Its shrilling voice is one of the most characteristic sounds of Lycabettus every summer (along with the restless chicadas!).
