A trip report from our recent tailor made private trip for 3 biologists from Geneva, Switzerland, focusing on the herpetofauna of eastern Peloponnese. Spring is the best season to find all shorts of reptiles, since the temperatures are ideal. Apart from the reptiles, we saw many butterflies, orchids, arachnids and mammals (Red Fox, bats and so many feral cats everywhere).

Once more we chose Astra Hotel in Kastania village, a wonderful family owned country style lodge. Apart from our accommodation, we had 2 superb dinners there, including risotto with wild, freshly collected mushrooms, since the owner is a mushroom expert!
