Lesvos 2026 Photo trip report

Every spring, we return to the beautiful island of Lesvos for one of the most exciting birding adventures in the Mediterranean. This year’s trip was another unforgettable experience:

5 days of birdwatching, photography, migration magic, and incredible landscapes.

From wetlands and olive groves to mountain slopes and coastal habitats, we recorded more than 130 bird species, including stunning migrants, raptors, herons, bee-eaters, warblers, and many more.

Beyond the birds, Lesvos offered everything we love about Greece:
local food, traditional villages, warm hospitality, endless photography opportunities, and moments that simply cannot be planned.
